I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote next month's bout.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
